Ciao ragazzi e prima di tutto benvenuti su SpazioRock.it! Il vostro album di debutto eponimo è stato appena rilasciato. Questo è sicuramente un momento cruciale per la band. Che cosa significa questo album per voi?
Significa moltissimo! Abbiamo speso moltissime energie per realizzarlo nell'ultimo anno e mezzo. Ora è tutto pronto e non potremmo essere più felici. Adesso tocca agli ascoltatori...
Perché avete deciso di cambiare il nome della band da OD a One Desire?
Fondamentalmente abbiamo voluto rendere esplicito il significato delle iniziali OD e trasformarlo in One Desire. Avevamo già un bel logo, quindi non volevamo cambiarlo.
Come descrivereste il processo di composizione dell'album? E' stato un lavoro di squadra o avete lavorato sulle idee proposte da determinati membri?
Ognuno ha messo le proprie idee sul tavolo ed in seguito il nostro chitarrista e produttore Jimmy (Westerlund, ndr.) le ha messe tutte insieme.
Siete stati definiti gli eredi di una grande band rock'n'roll: gli H.E.A.T.. Qual è il vostro rapporto con la loro musica? È stata una fonte di ispirazione per voi?
Adoriamo gli H.E.A.T.! Energia e canzoni incredibili! Forse ci hanno ispirato? Chi lo sa? (ride, ndr.)
Prima di far parte degli One Desire, siete stati tutti musicisti in altre band. Cosa vi ha fatto decidere di creare questo nuovo progetto? Sentivate la mancanza di qualcosa nella vostra carriera?
Abbiamo voluto creare un gruppo in cui ognuno di noi potesse soddisfare il proprio "unico desiderio".
Il primo singolo estratto dall'album è "Hurt" e ha già avuto molto successo. Qual è la particolarità di questa canzone che ha fatto sì che venisse scelto per presentare il vostro nuovo album?
Crediamo sia uno dei più forti dell'album, e ben rappresenta l'intera tracklist... In quella canzone c'è un po' tutto. Possiamo dire ai lettori che "This Is Where The Heartbreak Begins" è una grande ballad.
Qual è, secondo voi, la miglior ballad rock mai scritta?
"Roxann" di Jay Graydon.
A fine aprile suonerete al Frontiers Rock Festival a Milano. Potrete condividere il palco con molti colleghi di Frontiers Music, si preannuncia una vera festa. Quali sono le vostre aspettative?
Un grande party, un grande show, un sacco di birra... e sarà molto bello poter incontrare i nostri fan italiani e gli altri provenienti da tutto il mondo!

Hello guys and first of all welcome to our pages. Your self-titled debut album has just been released. This is for sure a crucial moment for the band. What does this album mean to you?
The album means a lot! We put lots of effort into it in the past year and half. Now it's done and we couldn't be any happier. The rest is up to the listeners...
Why did you decide to change the band's name from OD to One Desire?
Basically, we wanted to create the meaning for the letters OD and so it became One Desire. Because we already had a really cool logo, we didn't want to change that.
How would you describe the album's composition process? Has it been a teamwork or did you work on the ideas proposed by individual members?
Everyone put their own ideas on the table and our guitarist and producer Jimmy (Westerlund, ndr.) put everything together.
One Desire have been defined the heirs of a great rock'n'roll band: H.E.A.T.. What is your relationship with their music? Has it been a source of inspiration for you?
Love H.E.A.T! Absolutely amazing energy and songs! Maybe they have somehow inspired us? God knows? (laugh, Ed.)
Before you joined One Desire, you were all involved in other bands. What made you decide to create this newer project? Was there something missing in your career as musicians?
We wanted to create a band where everyone of us can fufill their "one desire".
The first single released from the album is "Hurt" and it has already been very successful. What is the special thing about this song that made you chose it to present your new record?
We felt that is one of the strongest of album, and it represents the whole album well... There is a little bit everything in that song. We can tell our readers that "This Is Where The Heartbreak Begins" is a great ballad.
What is, in your opinion, the best melodic rock ballad ever?
Jay Graydon, "Roxann".
At the end on April, you're going to play at Frontiers Rock Festival in Milan. You will share the stage with many colleagues from Frontiers Music, it's gonna be a real party. What are your expectations?
Great party, great show, lots of beer and very nice to meet our Italian fans and others around the globe!
