Gli Interpol hanno annunciato “Interpolations“, in arrivo nei prossimi mesi. E’ un progetto che vede artisti come Daniel Avery, Makaya McCraven, Jeff Parker, Jesu e Water From Your Eyes reinterpretare brani dell’ultimo album della band “The Other Side Of Make-Believe“.
La band condivide anche un mini-documentario di Atiba Jefferson, fotografo e frequente collaboratore del gruppo, già presentato ad LA durante l’evento di presentazione dell’album Big Shot City. Il documentario è stato girato durante le registrazione di The Other Side Of Make Believe nel novembre 2021 nei Battery Studio di Londra.

We are proud to unveil the ‘Interpolations’ project, a collaborative series wherein 5 talented artists were invited to reimagine tracks from our latest album, TOSOMB – and the results are truly inspired. From the Latin drum and bass rhythms applied to “Big Shot City” by Makaya McCraven to the esoteric and propulsive soundscape created by Water From Your Eyes for “Something Changed,” Interpolations is an exotic journey that reframes our songs and joins them to the vision of talented artists we admire. Daniel Avery completely strips “Greenwich” down to only a few of its component parts – allowing Juliet Seger’s angelic backing vocal to float hypnotically over driving electronic currents. And the reimaginings of “Passenger” and “Toni” by Jeff Parker and Jesu respectively round out this collection with flare, with recontextualized arrangements underlining and often deepening the emotion, drama and excitement of the originals. We are so excited that such a great collection of artists were able to connect with our music and we hope these songs connect with you.

Gli Interpol si esibiranno come headliner della Somerset House Summer Series 2023 il 10 luglio e saranno in tour nel Regno Unito a maggio, giugno e luglio. In apertura ci saranno i compagni di etichetta Water From Your Eyes, che sono anche parte del progetto “Interpolations” .
In primavera e estate gli Interpol calcheranno i palchi di numerosi festival e li vedremo in Italia per tre date: il 24 giugno agli i-Days di Milano con Paolo Nutini, il 26 giugno a Torino alle Officine Grandi Riparazioni e il 28 giugno al Rome Summer Fest.
