Les Claypool, frontman dei Primus, sta riunendo la sua Fearless Flying Frog Brigade.
La Fearless Flying Frog Brigade del colonnello Les Claypool si è esibita per l’ultima volta nel 2005, rendendo quindi il prossimo live la loro prima apparizione dopo 18 anni.
La band terrà un tour, chiamato “Summer of Green“, che comprenderà 40 tappe e partirà da metà maggio fino a metà luglio.
Il membro originale e fisso della band è proprio Les Claypool che questa volta sarà affiancato dal chitarrista Sean Lennon, dal tastierista Harry Walters e dal batterista Paulo Baldi, mentre si uniranno al gruppo anche il sassofonista Skerik e il percussionista Mike Dillon.
Durante il tour “Summer of Green” la band avrà come gruppi di supporto Fishbone, Jerry Harrison & Adrian Belew: Remain in Light, Neal Francis, The Budos Band, Witch e Moon Duo che a turno apriranno i vari show.
Claypool durante un’intervista ha dichiarato:
La Frog Brigade è stata un meraviglioso canale in questo fantastico mondo che avevo sempre cavalcato. È sempre stato molto importante per me, per quanto riguarda l’evoluzione e la rappresentazione di un nuovo capitolo della mia vita, non solo della carriera
Durante lo show la band eseguirà la loro cover di “Animals” dei Pink Floyd insieme a un mix di cover e materiale originale.
