La scorsa notte, Domenica 4 Febbraio, è andata in onda a Los Angeles la 66esima edizione dei Grammy Awards, il riconoscimento più importante in ambito musicale.
I vincitori delle categorie “Best Rock Album”, “Best Alternative Music Performance”, “Best Alternative Music Album”, “Best Rock Performance” e “Best Rock Song” sono i Paramore e le Boygenius.
Phoebe Bridgers è stata la grande vincitrice della serata portando a casa ben quattro riconoscimenti, tre dei quali grazie al gruppo Boygenius premiato nelle categorie seguenti:
“Best Alternative Music Album” con “The Record”.
“Best Rock Song” e “Best Best Rock Performance” con “Not Strong Enough”.
La cantante ha poi ricevuto la quarta statuetta grazie al duetto ‘Ghost in the Machine‘ con SZA premiato nella categoria “Best Pop Duo/Group Performance“.
Successo anche per i Paramore che sono la prima band capitanata da una frontwoman a vincere il miglior disco rock dell’anno. A nove anni di distanza dall’ultima vittoria, la formazione statunitense è stata premiata nelle categorie Best Alternative Music Performance e Best Rock Album per ‘This Is Why‘
Decima statuetta della carriera per i Metallica. La formazione heavy metal è stata premiata nella categoria “Best Metal Performance” con il singolo ‘72 Seasons‘ estratto dall’album omonimo.
Inoltre nella categoria “Best Music Film” troviamo David Bowie “Moonage Daydream” di Brett Morgen
